Indeed

I think I'll let people make their own opinion about this one.
When I first read it in class I got a lot of different interpretations, I want to see if I can get more.

A Black Heart

In the sky you say?

Why so?

Such a tremendous height, one wrong step

And the fall will never let you rise again.

Such loneliness weights the shoulders of the poor souls,

As the empty clouds feel the very steps of lightness.

I hear the songs, the chorus that sang before the birth of One.

Are not the angels supposed to be among you?

What a morbid land must their home be for them to flee it?

Where we are, the frigid cold of the sky does not bother us;

The arrogance of the celestial dwellers does not touch us.

We, here are not lonely.

We meet old friends,

As we dance around the warming white flames.

The underground levels filled with our most intimate secrets

Are ready to entertain us for the eons to come.

You asked me in your wisdom why not the sky?

Because I cannot.
